Research Interests:

Stellar astrophysics in general and more specifically: close binaries, cataclysmic variables and especially classical novae, low mass X-ray binaries and especially super-soft X-ray sources, the origin of type Ia supernovae, stellar winds, nebular outflows. Observational work done with XMM-Newton, Chandra, RossiXTE, ASCA, ROSAT, Beppo SAX, IUE, the HST FOS, ESO telescopes, the WIYN telescopes.

Spoken Languages:

English, Italian, Hebrew and German fluently. Very elementary knowledge of French, Spanish, Turkish, Arabic.
