I'm not sure the documentation *implies* this, but
Pavel is correct. To get contour labels on every other
contour line, the simplest thing to do is set the FOLLOW
keyword. If you want labels on *every* line (at least
every line that can *fit* contour labels according to
some unpublished algorithm), you can try this:
nlev = 12
Contour, z, x, y, NLevels=nlev, C_Labels=Replicate(1, nlev)
